Latest Software for Offline Instruments

The latest published AVITI™ OS software package for offline AVITI Sytems is downloadable from ElemBio™ Cloud.

Verifying a Downloaded Offline Software Package

When you download a large file over the internet, file corruption may occur if the download is interrupted. To ensure the downloaded offline software package is valid, use the md5sum that is provided to verify the downloaded offline software file. An md5sum is a hash value that acts as a unique fingerprint of the file. To ensure that a file has not been altered or corrupted during transfer, storage, or download, compare the files md5sum value to the provided expected value.

To verify the downloaded file:

  1. Extract the md5sum of the downloaded file.

    Check md5sum in Linux OS
    md5sum offline_aviti.zip
    Check md5sum in Windows OS
    certutil -hashfile offline_aviti.zip MD5
  2. Compare the value to the md5sum onscreen.

If the value is not the same as displayed onscreen, re-download the file.

Installing an Offline Software Package on AVITI OS

Consult the user guide for your AVITI System for the Perform a Manual Update section and complete the installation with the downloaded offline software package as instructed.

Download an Add-On Key for Offline Instruments

Add-ons sync automatically with online instruments. For offline instruments, you must download a product key from the Add-Ons page to complete installation. The key remains valid for 7 days after the download and applies to all add-ons available for your organization at the time of download.

To install add-ons on an offline system:

  1. Connect a USB drive to a USB port on your computer.
  2. On the Add-Ons page, select Download Add-On Key.
  3. Move the downloaded instrument-add-ons.tar.gz file to the root folder of the USB drive. Do not change, edit, or unzip edit the file.
  4. Complete installation as instructed in the Element AVITI System User Guide (MA-00008).
